IMS External Works

Introduction

IMS External Works has been created with the vision and objective of becoming a leading specialist sub-contractor, with strong financial resources, innovation with entrepreneurial flair to successfully provide the complete service for total building envelope projects calling for high specification, quality and offering best value.

One of the top priorities is Health and Safety of everyone involved and linked with the business. We all have a legal responsibility to look after others and ourselves. By working together we can achieve the aim of no reportable accidents, year on year.

We recognise the impact we have on the environment and the communities we work in, being committed to reduce related impacts through the way we operate. We recognise the need to balance environmental and social issues, to act and trade ethically.

With over 15 years in this sector, the services we can provide are the design, supply and fit of commercial roofing and cladding, which includes all types of systems from single ply to standing seam roofing, composite cladding, profiled cladding, aluminium cladding etc etc.

All labour is sub-contractors who have been hand picked over the years to ensure the highest standards are maintained and carry the most recent and up to date certifications / CSCS cards.

Many Thanks

To Support the above - the detailed objectives, are:

Safety

Become a recognised leader in the delivery of safe projects.

Establish a positive and exciting working environment to attract, develop and retain the right people for an expanding customer portfolio. We all have one vision -

therefore we are one team.

Build up partnering relationships with selected customers, through early project engagement.

Seek to achieve 100% repeat business - to be the first choice for our selected customers.

Cash Management

Timely conversion of due income to cash, to fund the future development of the business. This is vital to the success of the business.

New “live” up-to-date commercial reporting forms will be the key focus of controlling our business.

Cost Management

Embed a cost-conscious culture throughout the business enabling delivery of sustainable efficiency gains through our supply chain negotiated and waste management checks. To instil a mentality of “Right First Time”.

Approach to safety

To have a clear aim – maintain accidents to ZERO, by taking a zero tolerance approach to Health and Safety risks at work. We want people to leave work and return safely to their families.

Through the way we procure, support, train, and behave towards all people and customers; we will be protected from the risks of occupational injury or ill health.

What will we do to achieve this ?

Every person working on an IMS contract will have CSCS certification.

Each contract will have its specific QA procedures to follow.

Every person entering a site will receive a full induction and customer branded PPE.

Company accidents statistics and data will be cascaded from the Board through to site, so that business-wide lessons learned can be passed on.

Every incident that occurs on site will be investigated and a report produced to the Board of Directors for appropriate action to be taken.

Every member of staff will receive a least one days’ Health and Safety training per year.

There are 4 major steps that will need to be followed:

1: Awareness – Make sure you understand the hazards and risks around you.

2: Competence – Make sure you know how to work safely and minimise risks

3: Compliance – Make sure you follow best practice, the rules and method statements

4: Excellence – Make sure we all learn to improve our Health and Safety performance
